As the only scout pilot at Corbie not on the sick list, I was glad to take on this evening's Twilight Patrol. I made my way northeast to the lines in mist and light rain, arriving over the trenches southeast of Arras. I turned southward, strafing the German positions and waving to our troops. My guns jammed twice at about the halfway point, but I was able to clear them successfully both times. Shortly thereafter, the weather began to improve. I finished my run along the lines near Bapaume under overcast skies, and returned safely to Corbie in light clouds.
